Here Goes Nothing!

Recently two very sweet ladies have included me in their choices for a "Stylish Blogger" award. Thank you, Danielle at My Blessed Serendipity and Susanne at Zueeuz. I'm very flattered, but I wasn't sure what I wanted to do about it. I'm sure that sounds weird...I'll try to explain later. I'm supposed to tell 7 things about myself...so here goes nothing! 1. I'm one of the all time BIGGEST procrastinators!! So I'd probably still be pondering what to do about Danielle's nice gesture if Susanne hadn't nudged me along! 2. Like Susanne, I over use exclamation points and I'll add to that the over use of those 3 little dots (whatever that's called). I do that when I don't really finish a sentence...just move on the next thought. Both of those things indicate how I talk. 3.Since I first married (eons ago), I've lived in 17 homes on 2 continents, in 2 countries, in 4 time zones, in 3 states, in 10 cities. I don't think I'm settled in here yet either! 4.When my husband and I married, we each had grown children. Between us we have 6 terrific sons. Only one was married before we were (3 months prior to us). All the others have since married. We couldn't have handpicked better daughters-in-law! In March our 11th grandchild is due!! 5. I couldn't begin to count the things I collect. I don't consciously decide to start a collection...if I like it, I just want more! I've had collections as far back as I can remember. Shells and feathers were some of the first things...oh, and I still have all the teeth I lost!! Eeewww! 6.I love to sing and I hum ALL the time. Most of the time I'm not even aware that I'm doing it until someone mentions it. 7.I'm a big party-pooper!! I didn't think I wanted to do this award thing because I didn't want to pick the people to pass it on to. I don't want to have to pick and leave some out, and I didn't want to trouble someone if they didn't want it, and I could just keep 2nd guessing myself all day. It's goofy, I know but that's how I am. It works well with the procrastination thing too! So there you have it! Thanks again my friends!!

Here's another vintage Valentine for you.

  6. Congrats! Fun things to know about you! I can see you singing and humming boppin' around everywhere you go! 6 sons is a big family and then to get girlies with it, it's just fun, and when you all get along so well- that's just icing on the cake! Wow on the 11 grandbabies. I have O! Maybe you could loan me a couple till my guys start their families! Just kidding!
Now, I thought I had moved around a bit, but you outdo me! You should do a post on it! It sounds facinating!
I will hop in more often! I just can't get your link to work on my blog list.
    Hugs- Tete

  11. Wow, I haven't posted in a while, I guess it's that procrastination thing here too. It's been fun, or scary, seeing what all we have in common, besides the obvious love of good junk. I'll have to add ... to my list too but I'm usually a ....., why do 3 when 5 is more obnoxious?! I hum, when I'm stressed, so hopefully not all the time. I've saved my kids baby teeth so I won't eeewww that, but I also saved their belly buttons. Eeewww! TMI? Sorry!!!
    Keep warm,
    Susanne.
