I haven't spent much time with my Aunt Bettye in my adult years. But all my childhood memories of her are happy. She was always laughing, she called my brother and me "Darling", and she really made us feel special. Her daughter is having a party for her 80th birthday tomorrow. I'm excited to go see her smiling face. She is in pretty good health and has recently moved to a new home. She likes bright colors, so I made this card for her today with a pocket envelope and a pocket for a gift card. I used coordinating scrapbook papers and a paper doiley.
I'm looking forward to seeing cousins that I haven't seen for quite a while. I think it will be nice to be called "Darling" once again too!!
I am sure your Aunt Bettye will love to get one of your very special handmade cards, Darling! Have a fun time <3
ReplyDeleteI always miss your post because somehow the feed doesn't show that you posted. Anyhow, I'm here and caught up with your posts. Very pretty cards, Angela. I'm sure these people will love them, nothing like handmade. Diane
