I went by my favorite thrift store today and found this old card holder wreath for 40 cents. It had an angel formed from the wire on top. I pulled that off and added some of my own wire, in the shape of a vine. Then I attached vintage song sheet "leaves" and vintage ornaments, some ribbon, and vintage tinsel.
I thought I would put the Christmas cards we are receiving on it, but I think I like these vintage ones better. When I get the stockings made, that I have
envisioned for a couple of years now, I'm going to hang them on this ladder also.
I'd like to make other things using wire. There are some lovely things on the last two posts over at
Sassytrash blogspot. She has also made some great garlands with wire shown on past posts. Go take a look!
Wonderful find! Great with the cards in it! Happy Holidays!
