...arrived today. I was so happy to receive this Mary Engelbreit cookbook from Elizabeth. I won her giveaway over at
Creative Breathing. All the recipes sound so good and sound like things I would actually want to cook. Some cookbooks use ingredients that I'm not familiar with or sound too complicated for me...not this one.
And of course it is CUTE!!.inside and out! It has the little quotes like Mary always uses before each section. The first one is from her. As you probably know, her husband does most of the cooking for their family. This is what she says, "If my family had to depend on me for food, they would starve to death in a really cute kitchen." Love that!! I personally, only cook because I have to, except for desserts...I do like to bake. Mainly because I like dessert best! But I am looking forward to trying several of these dishes.
Thanks Elizabeth, I really love this. You are a sweetheart!!
Your right...her quote is so cute...and the book looks pretty darn cute too.
ReplyDeleteI love Mary Engelbriet's artwork and I love desserts too! Happy baking.

Hi Angela, I love the quote in Mary's cookbook! I feel the same way~not so good tho when you live on a farm! Congrats on all your winnings! You were so lucky to win Mamie Jane's giveaway--it was amazing! Just letting you know that I've tried several times to become a follower and everytime it says blog not found! I've checked and spelled everything correctly, so I don't know why it won't work for me...do you?? Let me know if you have any suggestions~I would love to follow you! Julie
ReplyDeleteHi Angela,
ReplyDeleteSo great that you are having a winning streak!! Isn't that fun though?? I think so! Just bask in the glow and enjoy it! lol
Blessings~
I love that quote. It's true about me, too. Well, I don't think my kitchen is as cute as hers though! Hope you find some good favorites in it. Happy week!!! Blessings, Diane
ReplyDeleteAngela, me again, if you don't mind I'm going to use Sparrowssong on my blog. It's just beautiful. I hate to copy you but do you mind?? Diane
ReplyDeleteWhat a great cookbook. I love all things ME! And like her, my husband does the cooking. And I make sure our kitchen is awfully cute, too!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the win. My husband does the cooking for the regular meals, I do all things fun and fabulous for entertaining. I love the jadite sugar bowl. It would look nice in my kitchen. Thanks for the heads up about my plant pot being McCoy and not Roseville. I have corrected my post and noted you with the correction. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like MY kind of cookbook. I need to be kicked to cook. I fixed huge meals everyday for 29 years, now I try to weasel out of it if possible, since it's just hubbs and I. Congrats on all your wins. You must be livin' right girlfriend!!
