Dreary Day
Flowers can brighten up even the dreariest of days, don't you think? These were in the clippings I bagged after trimming back the shrubs in front of the house. Last night it rained all night with lightning and thunder. I was even awakened once by what sounded like pretty good sized hail pounding on the roof. This morning it is drizzling and very dark. This photo was taken about 9:30 this morning, but looks like late evening. Here's a closer look at the vintage seed packages. They are not dated, but appear quite old. I'm drawn to any vintage gardening things.

Love your vintage centerpiece. A very nice way to chase the gloomies away.
ReplyDeleteLove the lilacs and the seed packs. Glad you are getting some rain, we have been, too. Makes it all green and helps it grow!

ReplyDeleteHi Angela! I planted some seeds this spring and I hope that they come up. Those are the cutest seed packets! I love your centerpiece and I do the same thing you do with the flowers in the blue jar. Love it!

ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting my blog today and becoming a follower! :) We have 4 days of rain coming our way or so they say! Are those lilacs I spy?

Your vintage seed packets are so charming...I can imagine them as the focal point on a paper banner. Strung across a window, these could add some cheerful sunshine.
ReplyDeleteThose seed packets are so cute and colorful! Do you think you'll frame them?
